The netherland rider was in fantastic form today. After winning yesterday’s stage, today she won the second stage, and she also cut half a minute off her team-mate and leader in the women’s general classification.

Tessa Kortekaas: “I didn’t want to leave Vera”.

“We rode very close together for the first 100 kilometres. I felt strong enough to go faster, but I didn’t want to leave Vera behind. In the end I attacked and it worked out well”.
