Titan Story. Raja Chakir

To speak of the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco is to speak of challenge, adventure, mountain biking and, of course and indissolubly, of its territory: Morocco.

A country that saw the birth of the race 17 years ago and that never seems to run out of resources and surprises edition after edition. Raja Chakir was born in Morocco.

Her track record is remarkable. At only 18 years of age, she has already been on the podium in the African under-23 championships and is one of the great jewels of cycling on the continent. She is also, as of just 24 hours ago, one of the first two Moroccan women to take part in the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco.

She and her partner in the Cycling Federation team, Chaima Elhamri, have made history. “I’ve been watching videos and images of the race for a long time. I really wanted to live this experience”, explains the young cyclist.

A first experience from which she only wants to “give the best” of herself, “get a good result” and, most importantly, although it is something she has already achieved: “Make the Moroccan people proud”.
