16 de December de 2022

The tennis player and participant of the last edition of the ŠKODA Titan Desert Morocco will lead the team for the next 3 years.

The three-time world champion (2008, 2009 and 2011) David Ferrer, as confirmed by the Spanish Tennis Federation, will be presented in the position, next Monday at the headquarters of the Consejo Superior de Deportes, in Madrid. The tennis player from Jávea, who retired in 2019, won up to 27 titles and played a Roland Garros final (2013).

David Ferrer was one of the 523 participants who took the start last May in the ŠKODA Titan Desert Morocco 2022. Ferrer, a mountain bike enthusiast, made his debut in one of the most prestigious MTB stage races in the world, and he did it with his friend Sergio Mantecón, one of the best Spanish XCO riders, who is currently focused on the bike-marathon, after 21 seasons in the Olympic distance.

Ferrer became a Titan after overcoming more than 600 kilometers spread over 6 different stages, before crossing the final finish line in Maadid.

From ŠKODA Titan Desert Morocco we wish him all the luck and success in this new stage as captain of the Davis Cup.

Congratulations Titan!
