#one100women
Almost two decades contemplate our race. Twenty years of wilderness, adventures, laughter, tears, excitement and memories.
In all these years, we have met more than 5,000 cyclists. People willing to live an experience that would change their lives forever.
But we look back and see that, of those 5,000 participants, just over 400, less than 10%, are women.
This is an adventure for Titans and Titanas.
In 2025 we celebrate our 20th anniversary and we will fight to make the peloton a more equal and representative space. We will do this, among other ways, by changing the way we talk to you, by offering training and advice specially designed for Titanas, by trying to balance the number of female and male elite representatives. We will do so, starting by putting the She before the Titan.
That is the name of our project: SheTitan. A concept under which all the efforts to make the Titan World Series a family with more representation and equality will be grouped.
Our first project, matching our 20th anniversary, will be for 100 women to race the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco 2025. That figure, #one100women, would double the female participation of 2024, and would be well above the record we achieved in 2018 with 69 women.
This is our commitment and we will work for it.
If this project interests you and you want to lead the change, welcome to SheTitan.
AMBASSADORS
Ambassadors are stories that inspire through action, through their example. They are experienced Titanas.
They will give that advice that does not appear anywhere, they will tell that inspiring story when it is hardest, they will talk in depth about technical issues on which they are experts and accompany throughout the process of preparation for the unique challenge that is the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco.
TESSA KORTEKAAS
A professional triathlete, the name of Tessa Kortekaas is synonymous with bike dominance in the Titan World Series universe.
Winner of the last two editions of the Skoda Titan Desert Morocco, this Dutchwoman knows no limits to her body: the harder the race, the greater her sporting displays.
MISHA SEKULOVA
Misha Sekulova made her debut in the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco in 2018 and, since then, it’s hard to imagine a peloton without her.
A pioneer in many milestones of the Titan World Series, she is currently the woman with the most kilometers accumulated in our races: over 6,000 km of effort and passion in the desert.
HANNELE STEYN
Known as ‘The Last Lioness’, Hannele Steyn is an icon of our sister race in southern Africa: the Cape Epic.
The South African rider is the only woman to have participated in all 20 editions of the Cape race and, in 2024, she has completed her first Škoda Titan Desert Morocco.
SARA CARMONA
Teacher, trainer and sports coach. Sara Carmona has been leading women’s sport challenges for more than a decade and this year she returns to be the official coach of the SheTitan project.
Finisher in 2016 and 2018 of the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco, Sara became Titana leading a team of 30 women, almost half of the 69 that broke the record of female participation in that 2018 edition.
What is SheTitan?
Breaking entry barriers

To create a strong network of mentoring and support among women, promoting and inclusive and motivating environment, which is charateristic of the Titan World Series.
Visibility and recognition
To increase the visibility and recognition of the achievement of women’s sports in media, explaining their story and thus helping to inspire future generations.
Set new milestones
#one100women is just the tip of the iceberg. A first and ambitious project within a bigger idea: to encourage women’s participation in endurance and adventure sports.
